I would describe High School as an overall positive experience for me, I have always enjoyed learning so I like coming to school. I would consider myself organized, meticulous, caring, and a hard-worker. I don't really have many specific hobbies but when I find something I enjoy, I am very passionate about it - this can range anywhere from a T.V. show I like, to how passionate I am about this project. I am involved in Class Cabinet at Bradley and helped plan prom in April 2017 (another thing I liked and became very passionate about).
My project:
I chose to do my Capstone project on Relay For Life of Northwest Franklin County (previously known as the Hilliard Relay For Life) because I have been involved in the event since I was 5. Relay For Life is an event organized by The American Cancer Society and volunteers from communities all around the world aimed at raising money for cancer research. It can range anywhere from 6-24 hours depending on the community and it is a great way for people to come together to help raise money for a great cause and have fun while doing it. My family started participating at the Canal Winchester Relay For Life when I was close to 5 years old and when I was 11 we started participating in the Hilliard Relay For Life as well. We took on the role of running the concession stand in Hilliard the second year we were involved and we really enjoyed doing it. Last year was the first year we merged communities and called the event "Relay For Life of Northwest Franklin County," and although there were was the challenge of not having a place for a concession stand, the event was a success.
